I found this when I was going through some of my older blogs. It was something I wrote over two years ago..
Being single.. have you ever really thought about what being "single" meant? What it meant in general? What it meant to you as a person..
To me, being single means:
You have the time to grow, learn from past mistakes, and be the person you want to be. Single gives you the space you need to grow. Sometimes, being too close to a person can stunt your growth as an individual. Trees are generally planted at a distance from one another so they can spread their roots, their branches, and become strong as they mature, and eventually intertwine with those who surround them.
Learning to live by yourself. You can't live, love, and care for another unless you can truly live with yourself, love yourself, and care for yourself.
You are free to spend a relaxing day at the beach, to take up a new hobby or sport, to stay up all night working on projects which interest you, to spend the day in bed curled up with a good book or movie or simply with another person.. without worrying about your significant other. I'm not saying that you can't do this with your partner, but I'm stating that you have the freedom to choose and do what you please when you feel like it.
Learning not to need a man/woman to make your life meaningful and complete. But learning to love and care for a man/woman because you want to be with him/her. Choose someone who will compliment you, not complete you. You should be your own person, there shouldn't be any halves.
Is feeling good about being in control of your life. It is about liking and respecting who you are and why you are the person you grew up to be. Being single is realizing that being in a relationship is not necessarily better, but that it is merely different
Single means that there could be something wonderful around the corner and you can take advantage of it. Enjoy the surprises life hands you, jump at an opportunity when you see it, take control of your life and never take what you have for granted, because one day you just might lose your grasp.
Single means you are free to love again.

let's start with the basics. the name's leslie. i was born on october 3rd, dont forget. i'm half chinese and half vietnamese. and no, i can't speak chinese to save my life. i'm a sister, friend, student, and kodak photographer. i'm the baby of the family and yes, i love it. i live with 3 older brothers and my parents in the valley. trying pull my life together and get as far from here as i can. now let's move on.

i've been hurt before, i've fallen time and time again. eventually, i move on and grow stronger with every problem i endure.
i can be the most random and happy person you'll ever meet or the biggest bitch you've ever talked to, that all depends on you. i won't deal with any bullshiet, give me the respect i deserve and i'll do the same for you.
my trust is hard to gain, easy to lose. i have no tolerance for liars or cheaters.
music is my therapy and writing will always be my escape. singing keeps me calm.
fall and winter are my favorites. give me a rainy day cuddled up on the couch and i'll be all smiles.
